Registration starts at 5:30 with dinner and a putting contest. Shotgun start at 7:30

Historians, will present a program on the Langford-Nord House that was   so generously donated  to the Blythewood Historical Society by Cindy Nord. He will also report on the past, present and future events of the Historical Society.

Camp Discovery and the SC Wildlife Federation are hosting a
Native Bee Day

 Saturday, April 23
for 8 to 12 year olds
10:00 to 12 noon

The cost is $10 per child or $20 for the family. Camp Discovery is located at 208 Claude Bundrick Road in Blythewood.

We have been notified
by SCDOT
that the bridge over
North Branch on Fulmer Road
will be replaced starting May 2.  Pending any delays due to weather conditions or other factors, the new bridge should reopen to traffic by July 15.  Traffic will be rerouted via Turkey Farm Road and Wilson Blvd.

I'm sure you have seen the train crews numerous times at work on the railroad track at Langford and Main Street recently.  This photo was taken by Hudnalle McLean, Sr. and shows J.L. Hosenback and his crew ( plus a child ) around 1946 in Blythewood. 70 years ago and it is still hard work!

I am here  to report that the
Blythewood High School  Plant Sale
was wonderful, even in the cold breezy weather.  
They had so many beautiful, healthy plants grown by our own BW students! If you didn't go this year I will remind you to go next year.  





I am also here to report that Bubble Soccer was alive and well in Blythewood over spring break. The park was bouncing!
