The rains
have paid off for our local farmers and the summer's wonderful
produce is coming in by the truck loads. Be sure to come out to
the Northeast Farmers Market next week to buy fresh and buy local! There's lots
to find at the farmers market from jellies and jams to fresh breads
to spread it on. Check out Linda Phillips and her take home and
eat creations. Delicious!!
Remember
the NEFM is at two great locations
this year...Doko Meadows on Monday and Lake Carolina on
Thursday...both run from
3pm -7pm.
Look
who's coming to the market next week! We hope to see you there,
too!

The shape of the pattern taken by a barrel racer is
known as a clover leaf...although it may be set as a triangle.

Park on the Grass....PLEASE!
|
|
Now,
when's the last time you heard THAT...but it's true at Doko Meadows. Parking
spaces have been purposefully built with sustainability in
mind. The grassed medians in front of The Manor and several
other areas around the park are not just pretty to look at but allow
rain water to slowly soak in and get back into the soil to resupply
our groundwater. Very clever on the part of our park designers,
don't you think? So, go ahead.....the next time you come to the park
for a walk or attend an event at The Manor...pull in and Park on the
Grass....PLEASE!!
The only exception is the Farmers Market Lot....
feet only are welcome!

moving bulls will once again thrill the crowds at the former
community center property. Gates will open at 6:00 pm and the
pageantry will begin at 7:00 pm. Get your boots dusted off and
