Rain, Rain Go Away...

...come again another day...say, Tuesday maybe?
The summer rains we've had this year have really made it tough on our farmers and our farmers market but we're working very hard to continue to find and bring you some great items to the Northeast Farmers Market at Doko Meadows.
We've got some new vendors coming to join our regulars so be sure to come  on out each Monday to check out what's available.

Remember, to create a farm to table recipe and let us know about it on the Northeast Farmers Market Facebook page.

Remember the NEFM is at two great locations this year...Doko Meadows on Monday and Lake Carolina on Thursday...both run from
3pm -7pm.
Look who's coming to the market next week!  We hope to see you there, too!

The Shrimp Guy
Sarah's Fresh Veggies

L'Ecuyers Gourmet
Company of OHS

Who Knew?

Savino D'Armate is credited with inventing the first wearable eyeglasses, around 1284 in Italy.
James Ayscough, in 1752 introduced spectacles with lenses made of tinted glass.  He advised the use of green and blue glass and is credited with the first sunglass like eyeglasses, although they were not made to shade the eyes from the sun, they corrected for vision problems.
