Saluting
Our Veterans
|
Are you
a veteran or know of someone who has served in our country's armed
forces? If so please contact Tyler Abernathy at Blythewood Middle School. BMS is hosting a Veterans Day Celebration and
recognition on November 11, from 8:30 am to 9:30am and they want all the veterans that are able, to be a
part of the ceremony. Please let Tyler know the names of
those that can attend the program so those veterans can be given a
proper salute!

What do
cows and chicken soup have in common? Come on out to The Manor on November 21st, 5:30pm - 7:30pm to find out 'cause it's Souper time!
The Thanksgiving Souper, a
fund raiser supporting The Women's Shelter will be hosted at the
Manor as a community event to help homeless women. First brought to
Blythewood by New Kirk Presbyterian Church, the Souper is growing
to a community-wide effort to help women in crisis that are served
by The Women's Shelter,
located in Columbia.
For a
mere $2 (or a donation of more ) you can buy a bowl of Chick-fil-A
chicken soup and enjoy an evening with your family and friends and
The Cow, as the Thanksgiving season begins. Take this
opportunity to teach your children that this simple meal of soup
and crackers is actually much more than many folks will have to eat
come Thanksgiving Day.

An Evening At
The Farm
|
Are you looking for a way to make a real difference in
our Blythewood community?
The Christian Assistance Bridge is a newly formed group working to do just that.
The inaugural fundraising dinner gala, An Evening at the Farm will be held Thursday,
November 7th from 6:00pm - 9:00pm at The Farm in Ridgeway. Come
enjoy Carolina cuisine and live music while knowing that you're
helping a community cooperative get off the ground to serve those
in need. The CAB exists to provide hope and support to those
in need in our community through a collaborative effort of local
churches, individuals and support organizations.
