While it would be impossible to put any monetary value on the efforts of our mothers, Mother’s Day is itself incredibly big business.
According to the National Retail Federation (NRF), in 2016, 87 percent of Americans celebrated Mother’s Day, spending more than $21.4 billion. This year it’s expected to top $23.6 billion.
The average 25- to 34-year-old spends $229 on Mother’s Day gifts, and 27 percent of that money is spent online.
Twenty-three percent of recipients of gifts on the big day are wives, 10 percent are daughters, 8 percent are sisters, and 7 percent are friends.

How about this treat for Mom!
