The Sweet Taste of Summer

Although the rains came down this past Monday and the Northeast Farmers Market had to be canceled, we're all looking forward to this coming Monday when the sunshine will be welcoming everyone to the market in Doko Meadows. Grab a taste of summer's bounty as more and more of our farmers' produce becomes available.  Stop by Vera Eze's First Fruits booth and have a sampling of her great jams and jellies, too.
Remember the NEFM is at two great locations this year...Doko Meadows on Monday and Lake Carolina on Thursday...both run from
3pm -7pm.
Look who's coming to the market next week!  We hope to see you there, too!

Hope your
Weekend
is
HUGE!

Going once...
going twice......

We all get a second chance at bidding on some terrific artwork that was up for auction at this year's Beach Bash.  As you know, the rains came down and washed away the final couple of hours of the Bash so Bravo Blythewood decided that everyone within earshot of downtown Blythewood should have an opportunity to bid on these great pieces of art.  Come by the Blythewood Town Hall next week Monday-Friday and place your offer on the bid sheets.  The auction will close at noon on Friday, June 14 and you'll be notified if you're the highest bidder.  All proceeds from the auction go directly to the American Cancer Society.  Artists from the B.A.G. (Blythewood Artists Guild) have provided the talent, now we need you to provide the bid for a great cause!

The world's largest watermelon was grown in Hope, Arkansas in 2005 by Lloyd Bright.  It weighed 268.8 lbs.

What's Better than Winning?

Winning BIG...that's what.  You can have the chance to win really big on Tuesday, June 11 when the Greater Blythewood Chamber of Commerce sponsors a REVERSE RAFFLE at their Blythewood After 5 event. Never heard of a reverse raffle? Come on out to San Jose's on Hardscrabble Road, Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm and with a $100 tax-deductible donation and a little bit of luck you may just be a winner.  The real winners, though,  will be the 2014 graduates of our Blythewood schools because the proceeds from this event will go to scholarships for some great college bound kids.
Grab your lucky rabbit's foot and come on out for some fun!
