This Weekend in Blythewood December 31st, January 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Welcome to the Neighborhood! Sheriff Leon Lott and all the Deputies of Region 6, along with Blythewood's new magistrate, Josef Robinson would like to invite everyone to the Grand Opening of their new Region 6 Headquarters. The event will be held January 6th from 4:00pm -8:00pm.   Come tour the newly renovated building on McNulty Street and plan to stay for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6:00pm.  We welcome Sheriff Lott and his deputies to Blythewood and thank-you in advance for your service to our community!! Community Internship Program The students in Blythewood High School's Community Internship Program will be showcasing their career internships and community service projects on Thursday, January 9 at 8:45 am in the small gym at BHS.  Students in the program have been working with mentors across the Midlands and getting a taste of just what this working life is all about.   The students have been exposed to careers in a huge variety of fields and will 'show off' the projects in which they've been a part.  Plan to come take a look at what some of our Blythewood students are learning.  There's more to school than what's in a book! New Year's Eve in the Meadows! 2014 is knocking on the door so be sure to bring the kids and come celebrate the new year when The Town of Blythewood sponsors New Year's Eve in the Meadows,TONIGHT!!! Come enjoy a FREE concert featuring  Freeway Music All-Stars from 5pm - 8pm and spectacular Fireworks at 8:00pm. Scottie's Food Truck will be on hand offering up FREE hotdogs as a 'thank-you' to everyone for their support during 2013.  Coolers and lawn chairs are welcomed, so come sit back and relax while you help usher in the new year with your friends and family!  New Year's Eve in the Meadows December 31st 5:00pm - 8:00pm The Amphitheatre at Doko Meadows FREE Concert Featuring Freeway Music All-Stars Fireworks Show @ 8:00pm Audition Dates Set! Community Theatre  New audition dates have been set for Blythewood's new Community Theatre! Bravo Blythewood hopes you will come be a part of the 'next big thing' in our town.    Auditions will be held January 9th from 7p-9p and January 11th from 9a- noon.  The auditions will be held at The Manor @ Doko Meadows.     When you come to audition please bring a song with music or background and be prepared to read a short portion from a script.  The performance dates will be April 3-6. Contact Rachel Tefft 803.422.6885F Girls' Lacrosse Preseason Clinics @ Doko Meadows Two Lacrosse Clinics are being offered by Midwestern Force Lacrosse right here in Blythewood at Doko Meadows.  The preseason clinics will be held December 22 and January 15 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm.  Girls from grades 3-12 are welcomed to attend.  Cost is $20 ($15 for military families)  for each clinic.  Register at: midwesternforcelacrosse.com
