I had just a few occassions to meet and talk to Linda Peak, but she is the kind of person you feel like you have known for years instantly. Her smile was contagious and you could tell how much she loved her family and the Town of Blythewood as she shared stories.  I know she will be missed by so many people.  The Town of Blythewood sends its thoughts and prayers to the family.

I looked on the Blythewood Historical Society Time Line,  prepared by Bob Wood, to see when Linda was Mayor.  The more I looked, the more I learned about Blythewood and the succession of Mayors. Here is a little history...

1974... Harold Boney 1st Mayor
1977...Mel Mauer, Mayor
1982...Reginald "Rabbit" Smith, Mayor
1984... Mel Jenkins, Mayor
1987...Linda Creech Cork Peak, Mayor

1990...US Census showed that 69 people lived in the town limits of Blythewood

1990... Roland Ballow, Mayor
2004...Pete Amoth, Mayor
2008...Keith Bailey, Mayor
2012...Mike Ross, Mayor
2016...Mike Ross, Mayor

The Blythewood Time Line is a great resource for the history of Blythewood. To learn more go to www.blythewoodhistoricalsociety.org
