November 22nd-24th Weekend

Not everything that's counted counts but offering your support to The Women's Shelter by attending this year's Thanksgiving  Souper will definitely count and make a difference for some women in need of help.
This Weekend in Blythewood
November 22nd, 23rd and 24th

Counting What Counts

Not everything that's counted counts but offering your support to The Women's Shelter by attending this year's Thanksgiving  Souper will definitely count and make a difference for some women in need of help.     First brought to Blythewood by New Kirk Presbyterian Church, the Souper is growing to a community-wide effort to help women in crisis that are served by The Women's Shelter, located in Columbia.
For a mere $2 (or a donation of more ) you can buy a bowl of Chick-fil-A chicken soup and enjoy an evening with your family and friends and The Chick-fil-A Cow, as the Thanksgiving season begins.  Count your blessings early and make plans to attend.

Drug Take Back Day

Have you ever wondered what to do with all those out-of-date medications you have stacked up in your cabinets?   Well, clean off the shelves and gather them up because Tuesday, November 26 is DRUG TAKE BACK DAY in Blythewood.  The Town of Blythewood has joined forces with Blythewood Pharmacy to offer a way for area citizens to safely dispose of out of date medications.  Bring those drugs that are no longer usable to the Town Hall from 9:00am - 12 noon next Tuesday and let our local experts dispose of them correctly.

Oh, Christmas Tree

Get in the Christmas spirit when Blythewood throws the switch on it's town Christmas trees.  The Community Christmas Tree Lighting will be held December 1st from 5-6:00pm in front of the Historic Hoffman House ( a.k.a. Town Hall).  Enjoy the sounds of Christmas from some of our town's smallest citizens and stay to partake of the refreshments afterwards.  When the trees light up  Santa  can't be too far behind.

We LOVE a Parade!

Get ready!!!  The Blythewood Christmas Parade will take to the streets,  December 8th at 3:00pm.  Sponsored by the Blythewood Chamber of Commerce, the parade route is taking some new turns, this year.  The staging and start of the parade will be at Blythewood High School and will travel north on Hwy. 21/Main Street, turn left on McNulty, left again on Boney Road and left yet again onto Blythewod Road.
It's sure to be a great time for everyone so make your plans now to come out and enjoy the fun!
