The Weekend in Blythewood June 5th-7th

The Weekend in Blythewood June 5th-7th
This Weekend in Blythewood
June 5th, 6th and 7th

Look for smiling teachers, kids, parents and administrators! No homework for the summer!

Now you Know...The first graduating class of Blythewood High School was in 1949. That was not that long ago!  Shirley B. was the first to answer the question! Shirley told me her graduating class of 1970 was the last class to graduate from there and her granddaughter's class was the first to graduate from the new BHS in 2006.

Did you Know...Mr. Price will be providing so much for our students in his new job as Assistant Superintendent!  What did Richland County School District provide their students in 1918 that was monumental in the early days of education in South Carolina?

Email your answer to: kellym@townofblythewoodsc.gov and get a little treat for reading the newsletter and being so smart!

Congrats to all the teachers, students , parents and administrators who made it through another school year!  Enjoy a fun filled summer!

Also, congrats to the 180 students honored at the BHS All-School Awards Night! And to the ROTC cadets who were awarded for their hard work and dedication!

And... to Mr. Price who will be the new Assistant Superintendend for RSD2.  He has a lot of homework this summer!

And ...to John Cummer, a brave member of our community, for a wonderful write up in the State Newspaper. Mr. Cummer made multiple trips between England and Normandy during the Normandy Invasion. This week is the 70th anniversary of the invasion!

Congratulations to all the winners in Blythewood!
