The Blythewood Historical Society invites you to participate in their Quilt Education Series.

Join us for a fun evening of conversation and video viewing of the PBS series "Why Quilts Matter: History, Art and Politics".

The gatherings will continue every other Thursday for 5 sessions with presenters speaking on an interesting quilting topic, an episode of the PBS quilting video and refreshment.  No charge...just come and get a fresh new look at the imaging history and art of quilting.

 The People's Choice Awards invite you to cast your vote for the 2016 finalist in the Miss South Carolina/Miss South Carolina Teen Scholarship Pageant.  Each vote is $1 and the proceeds benefit the Miss South Carolina Pageant.

The contestant with the most votes will automatically advance into the 2016 finals with the preliminaries being held June21-23rd and the finals held on June 24th and 25th.

 Town Hall is taking old flags for the Lake Wateree VFW 8346 to properly retire in their flag retirement ceremony.  Bring your old flags to Town Hall  by
Friday, June 17 at 4:00
and we will get them to the VFW.

The public is welcome to attend the flag retirement ceremony on Saturday, June 18 at 7 pm at 74 Veterans Drive in Ridgeway.

Summer Baseball Camp

Barry Mizzell, BHS head baseball coach will host two sessions of baseball camp this summer.


Session 2:  June 13-16th
The session will be help from
8:30 am -12:00 pm
Monday -Thursday.

There will be two camps in one this year, with a basic fundamental camp for ages 6-14
and an advanced pitching and hitting camp for ages 9-14.
