As Mayor Mike Ross says, "It's a beautiful day in Blythewood!"  The Mayor wrote a piece for the newspaper talking about the baseball field behind Bethel-Hanberry school.  It needs the community's help!  The Mayor is asking church, school and service organization groups to meet at the ball field this weekend for a massive cleanup, March 10-March 12th.

This Weekend in          Blythewood     March 9th, 10th & 11th Sunday March 12, 2:00 AM Daylight Savings Time Begins and a Full Moon!  The Blythewood High School Boys' Basketball team put up a great fight for the State Championship last Friday night against Dorman High School. The final score in the last few seconds was Dorman, 54 to 53. Such a close game.   As Mayor Mike Ross says, "It's a beautiful day in Blythewood!" The Opening Celebration/ Ribbon Cutting  Sunday, March 19, at 4:00 for the  Smithsonian Traveling Exhibit,  "The Way We Worked" The Way We Worked is a Smithsonian traveling exhibition that draws on the National Archives photographic and artifact collections to tell the story of work in America culture. It traces the many changes that have affected the workforce and environment during the last 150 years. The exhibit will be at the Langford-Nord House 100 McNulty Street from March 18- April 30.  The exhibit hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Saturdays, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and Sundays 2:00 to 5:00 pm. The Way We Worked, created by the National Archives, is part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institute and the SC Humanities Council, plus funding from Richland County and the Nord Family Foundation. March for Meals is a nationwide campaign to raise awareness about the issue of food instability among seniors, and to provide additional funding for local Meals on Wheels and Congregate Meals programs. Jackson personnel are running 100  miles from Andrew Jackson State Park all the way to Fort Jackson.  The run starts after midnight on March 15th and they are scheduled to be at Mile 50 at 7:55 in Ridgeway. By 9:30 they hope to be at Mile 60, at New Life Fellowship Church in Blythewood on Hwy. 21.  If you are in that area, show your support and cheer then on!

Richland 101 is a free, annual course that teaches residents the basics of Richland County Government.
