September 13th-15th Weekend

It's finally Friday and we can all feel lucky that we've got a great little town to get all jazzed about.  Enjoy the cooler temps and take in some hometown football and fun this weekend.
This Weekend in Blythewood
September 13th, 14th and 15th

Say it Ain't So

It's almost time to close our Northeast Farmers Market.   September 30 will be the last Monday of the market at Doko Meadows.  We still have some great vendors each week so be sure to stop by anytime from 3:00pm - 7:00pm to pick up some ready to heat and serve delicacies  from Linda Phillips.  You can top that ready-made supper off with some terrific treats from Sweets and Treats.  Life is busy, so be sure to take advantage of the culinary talents of others to help you feed those hungry mouths around your table.

Look who's coming to the market this week!  We hope to see you there, too!

Jazz in The Meadows

Come bring your lawn chair  and make plans to sit back and enjoy the smooth sounds of The Blythewood Jazz Orchestra,  Sunday, September 15th at the Amphitheater @ Doko Meadows.
Carl Payne, along with 22 other very talented musicians have been bringing this FREE concert to the community for several years in Carl's front yard but now it's being offered up in our own
Doko Meadows Amphitheater.
As a new addition this year,  The Blythewood Lions Club will be on hand to serve up some great tasting hot dogs, hamburgers, fries and cold drinks.    Be sure to bring some shade and some sunscreen.

Back in the Saddle

The Gamecock Equestrian Team will be riding high when they open the 2013-2014 season on Friday, September 20 against Kansas State.  The meet will begin at 10 a.m. at One Wood Farm, located at 1201 Syrup Mill Road right here in Blythewood.  The defending Southeastern Conference CHAMPIONS have three home meets during the fall so you'll want to plan to bring the kids and come watch these talented equestrians.  GO GAMECOCKS!
