This Weekend in Blythewood
August 14th, 15th & 16th

Beep, Beep!  Plug in those cars!
Welcome back Teachers!  Thanks for all you do for the children in Blythewood! And good luck to Brenda Hafner as the new Blythewood High School principal!

This should be so much fun!  From Claude Bundrick driving his tractor to Blythewood each day to electric cars in our town!

To Sabrina Mosso-Taylor for becoming the new principal at the Center for Achievement! To our recent college graduates from Emory and USC Upstate and to Phil Noble for writing a great editorial about "Some good news about our State". If you haven't read the Guest Editorial in the Country Chronicle, do as it points out the advancements S.C. has made rather than our short comings.  Thanks for the good words!

Now you Know...George Shealy Langford was the Maryland State Entymologist and wrote over 100 articles on insect research.  Rudy Mancke would have enjoyed knowing him!  Alyson K. was the first person to know the correct answer!  A treat is waiting for her at Town Hall!

Did you Know...This is a story about a really good dad!  In 1905, Emily Bookhart's father built her the beautiful "southern cottage" on 193 Langford Road when she began teaching at Blythewood School.( It is called the Bookhart-Blume House on our Self-Guided Walking Tour brochure.)  What did Emily Bookhart later become?
