Please plan to join us for the Grand Opening Celebration of the The Manor at Doko Meadows this Sunday afternoon, October 20.  This beautiful new facility in the heart of Blythewood has been opened for use since March of this year, but Sunday will mark its official introduction to Blythewood. 
The ribbon cutting will be held at 5:00 pm with refreshments and music to follow until 7:00 pm.  The town will be giving the first 100 families a beautiful commemorative Christmas tree ornament created by the Blythewood Historical Society, to mark the occasion.

We hope to see you Sunday!!

If you're a member of the Blythewood, Columbia, Fairfield or Kershaw Chambers or the MidState Chamber Coalition plan to enjoy CHAMBERFEST on October 24th. Come network and make new connections at this free after-hours event sponsored by the Town of Blythewood and the Blythewood Chamber of Commerce.  Enjoy the sounds of Tokyo Joe in the beautiful surroundings of  The Manor at Doko Meadows.  Festivities begin at 5:30pm.  Chamber members are welcome to bring a guest.

Our Blythewood Rotarians are at it again as they plan
The 12th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament that will be held at Columbia Country Club on Monday, October 28th.  Each year the tournament serves to raise money for scholarships that go to deserving graduates of Blythewood and Westwood High Schools.  Plan to be a part of this great event with the shotgun start at 12:30pm.   Come early to warm up and enjoy a boxed lunch at 11:00am.  There will be
lots of prizes and fun for everyone!

Calling all Brains!

Call your friends and head to the computer 'cause registration is being held open  for this round of classes in the Blythewood Brainery.  Classes will begin the week of November 3rd and you and your buddy can find your inner artist or find out how that new iPad of yours REALLY works. With the holidays just around the corner sign up to learn some nutritional tips that could lead to a healthlier lifestyle on into the new year.   No matter your interest, you'll find something fun to learn and the best part is you'll be  smarter by Christmas!

The Blythewood Brainery is a collaboration of Muller Road Middle School, Bravo Blythewood and The Town of Blythewood.
The courses for the fall session are:
Watercolors -taught by Esther Melton -must have 5 in the class- Mondays
Acrylics/Oils -taught by Esther Melton- must have 5 in the class - Wednesdays
iPAD Basics - taught by Morgan Moates- must have 10 in the class - Tuesdays
Good Eats for Life - taught by Katherine Shavo- Tuesdays Starting Oct. 29.
(Note different start date)

All classes will be held at Muller Road Middle School beginning the week of October 13  (except for Good Eats ) and are on the town website and ready for your perusal.

BlytheFest!



You and your friends will be all smiles when you show up at Trinity United Methodist Church for BlytheFest October 25th and 26th.  It's  a weekend full of free family fun for all ages.  There will be great music, food and vendors of every description.    Make plans now to enjoy this wonderful fall weekend event!
