First Annual Hope Optimist Club Banquet at Round Top Baptist Church, Saturday October 17, from 5:30 to 7 pm.  The community is invited to dinner, entertainment, a wonderful speaker, Cameron Dixon, from Washington, D.C. and an opportunity to learn more about  the Optimists' club.  Tickets are $15 and can be purchased by calling Keri  Boyce at 864-978-8277 or by email, Kboyce242@gmail.com

The Blythewood Christian Assistance Bridge located at 126 Blythewood Road is taking donations if you would like to help out the flood victims in the area.  They are opened on Mondays and Thursdays, 9:00 to 1:00 or call 786-1903 for more information. 

Also, individuals and business owners who sustained losses due to the flooding can apply for assistance by registering online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 1-800-462-7585.  The Blythewood Chronicle has a full report of services available by FEMA.

      Westwood High School students now have a "Contribution Can" in Town Hall  to collect canned goods for Blythewood's Christian Assistance Bridge.  The "can" will be on our porch from 8:30 to 4:30 each day.  The students' intent is to be ready with food items and help each and every day of the year as needed.  If you come by Town Hall bring a can!

Tournament of Bands at Blythewood High School.

Gates open before 9:00 with the first of 31 bands from North Carolina and South Carolina  performing at 9:00. The bands will perform all day with an awards ceremony at 10:00 pm.

program has officially begun!
Bravo Blythewood Cultural Arts Council
hosts the S.C. Region 2 of the state-wide competition for students in grades 9-12. Teachers interested in participating in the S.C. competition must register with the S.C. Arts Commission by Friday, November 6.  Forms available online at www.southcarolinaarts.com.
