August 9th-11th Weekend

The lazy days of summer are about to come to an end and all the wonderful teachers in our Blythewood schools are headed back to get things ready 'cause to them, it's all about the learning.
So take a few minutes and remember, if you can read this....
THANK A TEACHER!
This Weekend in Blythewood
August 9th, 10th and 11th

Give the Bees
the Biz!

Sweeten up your summer with pure local honey you'll find at the Northeast Farmers Market.   Honey has been called the perfect food because it's full of nutrients and will never spoil.  What better way to enjoy all that bee handiwork than spread on toast or mixed into a delicious cup of tea.   Bee Trail Farm from Lexington, SC makes the trip to Blythewood each Monday to share their light and dark honey with market goers... so  come get your sweet tooth satisfied the natural way.  We'll see you Monday at the market!
Last week our produce vendors ran into a bit of 'rough patch' and The Shrimp Guy took a little beach vacation...but we'll have all you need when you make your visit this week.

Remember, to create a farm to table recipe and let us know about it on the Northeast Farmers Market Facebook page.

Remember the NEFM is at two great locations this year...Doko Meadows on Monday and Lake Carolina on Thursday...both run from
3pm -7pm.
Look who's coming to the market next week!  We hope to see you there, too!

Have a
Honey of a Weekend!!

The Blythewood Lions Club
continues to work hard for those folks in our community that need help getting eye exams and glasses.  This year our Blythewood Lions Club is bringing  the annual Night for Sight and Hearing Gospel Concert to The Manor at Doko Meadows.
Blythewood's own, Joe Pinner, will be the emcee for the afternoon of wonderful  music.  Along with the sweet sounds of gospel you'll find a big variety of silent auction items to bid on so bring your billfold and make room in the car so you can carry home some great prizes.
What a terrific opportunity for everyone to come out, relax  and make a difference for someone who may need a pair of glasses or even eye surgery.
This year the
Night for Sight and Hearing
will be held at
The Manor at Doko Meadows
in Blythewood
August 25th
4:00pm - 6:00pm

Tickets are only $6 and can be purchased from Rhett Hair @ 803.261.4758 or
